My winter/spring 2026 skateboarding highlights

Sun, Jun 28, 2026

This is the winter 2025-26 and spring 2026 installment of my skateboarding highlights. At the end of every season I make a short video of all the tricks I learned. Except this time when I skipped winter and combined it with spring.

Here's a list of all the tricks

  1. FS pivot
  2. Nose stall BS revert
  3. Shove to fakie
  4. Switch shove to regular
  5. Switch blunt
  6. Willy grind
  7. Switch FS 50-50 over the dirt pile
  8. Nollie flip
  9. Nollie BS bigspin
  10. Switch BS 50-50
  11. FS 50-50 on a rail
  12. Ollie down a 4-stair

I did the switch blunts back in January. I was happy to land these two. Only recently have I tried them again. They don't come as easy as blunt to fakie.

The willy grind was supposed to be a BS 50-50, which I've been practicing frequently. I missed the BS 50-50, but I thought the willy grind looked neat.

Nollie BS bigspin was something I tried on a whim on a trip to Canada. It only took a few tries.

I've done switch FS 50-50s before, but I liked this one because it was over the dirt pile. I've been practicing switch BS 50-50s, and I finally landed one. It was dirty, but they always are the first time you land something.

The last time I tried a 50-50 on a rail was April two years ago. I thought I would get one, then I landed on my face and broke my front tooth. I finally mustered the courage to try them again. I know I can do it, it's just very scary. I finally did one, with a reverse crosslock, but at least I landed it.

The ollie down the 4-stair was another terrifying one. The scary part is staying parallel to the board as you go over the stairs. I was glad I had the knee sleeves on, otherwise I would have scraped my knee pretty good. Eventually I landed three of these.
